Radeon RX 560 Gaming OC V2 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

The Radeon RX 560 represents a value-oriented entry level graphics card that is especially power efficient and comes equipped with excellent connectivity options while delivering good performance for E-Sport titles like Counter Strike: Global Offensive, DOTA 2, Overwatch or League of Legends at high details and in Full HD resolution (1.920 x 1.080). Based on AMD's 4th generation GCN architecture and manufactured utilising the new 14 nm FinFET process, the Polaris 11 GPU of the Radeon RX 560 comes with a very low TDP of just 80 Watts. Paired with a FreeSync monitor allows users to not only save money on the graphics card, but also on the corresponding display device. Price-conscious gamers will be absolutely satisfied with the price-to-performance of the RX 560.

The Features of the Gigabyte Radeon RX 560 Gaming OC 4G at a Glance:

  • Efficient Gigabyte WindForce Cooler Design
  • 4 GB GDDR5 VRAM
  • max. 1.300 MHz boost clock (OC mode)
  • Memory clocked at 3.500 MHz (7.000 MHz)
  • 1x 6-Pin power connector

Gigabyte Radeon RX 560 Gaming OC 4G Factory-Overclocked & WindForce Cooler Design

The efficient Polaris 11 GPU of the Radeon RX 560 comes with 16 Compute Units with a total of 1.024 shader units. The GPU of the Radeon RX 560 Gaming OC 4G from Gigabyte offers an average boost clock of 1.287 MHz in gaming mode. OC mode allows this to be increased to 1.300 MHz. The 4 GB of GDDR5 VRAM is clocked at 3.500 MHz (7.000 MHz), and is equipped with a 128-Bit memory interface to connect to the GPU to provide robust performance.

The WindForce 2X cooler design from Gigabyte allows the copper heatpipes to make direct contact with the GPU. The heat is transferred to aluminium-finned heatsinks and exhausted using two fans. Should the graphics card not be operating under full load and require less cooling, the fans are turned down or switched off completely. This enables the quietest possible operation of the graphics card. Power is supplied to the graphics card by a single 6-Pin PCIe power connector.

14-nm-FinFET and GCN 1.3: The AMD Radeon RX 560

Thanks to the efficient 14 nm FinFET manufacturing process as well as great leaps forward in frequency control, power saving and clock rate technologies make the Radeon RX 560 with its very low 80 Watt TDP both powerful and energy efficient. The 14 nm technology enables more transistors to be accommodated in a smaller surface area, whilst simultaneously reducing energy requirements.

The modern 4th generation Graphics Core Next Architecture (GCN 4.0) also introduces new features, such as a command processor, a geometry processor, new multimedia cores, an optimised display engine as well as an improved memory controller. Counted among the newly-supported technologies are Async Compute, Vulkan, DirectX 12 and AMD's FreeSync technology.

Displays can be connected via three different methods. Display Port, HDMI or DVI-D Dual-Link ports are available. EyeFinity Technology allows up to three monitors to be connected to the graphics card in a multi-display setup. The HDMI port utilises the 2.0b standard and supports resolutions up to 4K/UHD at 60 Hertz and HDCP 2.2 allows the sending and receiving of encrypted content. Display Port 1.4 even supports 8K/UHD at 60 Hertz.

In order to reach the maximum potential of the card, new drivers should be downloaded and installed at regular intervals from the AMD or Gigabyte websites.
